1972 Miami Dolphins season - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1972 Miami Dolphins season - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the only National Football League team to have a 'Perfect season', and win the Super Bowl, following the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. Their undefeated campaign was led by coach Don Shula and notable teammates Bob Griese, Earl Morrall and Larry Csonka (among many others). This team went 14-0-0 in the regular season (prior to the extension of the regular season by the NFL), and won all three playoff games, including Super Bowl VII against the Washington Redskins, for a season record of 17-0-0. As of February 4, 2008, the day after Super Bowl XLII, which saw the then-perfect New England Patriots fall in this critical final game to the New York Giants, the 1972 Dolphins remain the only NFL team to complete an entire season undefeated from opening regular season game to Super Bowl." I watched the Giants and New England game last night and thought the New England was going to break the record. Eli Manning and David Tyree ,Plaxico Burris on offense and Defensive front lineman My MVP "Justin Tuck " Micheal Strahan nose tackle Jay Alford had other idea's of who was going to win . Tuck ran around after Tom Brady like a madman it was Kinda Scarry , Greatest last two minutes of any Super-Bowl I can remember... Cya David
